RAINDROPS DISPOSAL APPARATUS FOR UNDERGROUND CAVERN

PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to protect electrical facilities and telegraph line installed within an underground cavern from a damage caused by raindrops while allowing the water falling into the underground cavern through a manhole to be discharged to a water collecting well through a conveying pipe after being collected at a water receiving plate. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a pair of guide rails(10) fixed to an outer periphery of an opening(4) formed at a ceiling slab(3) of an underground cavern(2), the opening being arranged to contact a manhole(1) communicating to a ground, a water receiving plate(20) coupled to be movable along the guide rails and which opens/closes the opening if necessary, and a conveying pipe(30) having an upper end connected to a drain outlet of the water receiving plate and a lower end connected to a water collecting well(7) installed at a bottom of the underground cavern.
