PURPOSE: A method for extending service ranges of a mobile communication system is provided to extend the service ranges by dividing service realms into a normal mode and an extend mode according to distances between base stations and mobile stations, and by changing transmitter clocks of the mobile stations when the extend mode is performed. CONSTITUTION: An accessing process is performed in a normal mode. The accessing process is identified whether the process is successful. A determined next process is performed. If the accessing process fails, an operation mode is converted into an extend mode. A transmitting clock is forwarded as D_INT in the extend mode. An accessing process is performed to the forwarded transmitting clock. The accessing process is identified whether the process is successful. If the accessing process fails, accessing frequencies and determined accessing frequencies are compared. If the accessing frequencies are less than the determined accessing frequencies, the transmitting clock is forwarded as D-step, and a step of performing the accessing process is returned. If the accessing process is more than or same with the determined accessing frequencies, the operation mode is converted into the normal mode, and the accessing process is completed. |
