摘要 |
PURPOSE: A device for coding image data using a motion directional classification is provided to predict a motion of an object region, and to transmit an index value of the predicted motion. CONSTITUTION: An edge detector(100) detects edge information from inputted image data. A region classifier(110) classifies the image data as determined regions displaying object characteristics on the basis of the detected edge information, and outputs region classification data. A motion directional classifier(120) predicts a moving direction of a current region from each region data on the basis of the region classification data, and stores directional classification data which are predicted values. A comparator(130) reads out an index representing a direction value which a difference between the directional classification data and the each region data is minimized. A transmitter(140) transmits the index as a packet unit.
