PURPOSE: A method for calling portable cordless telephones in a cordless telephone is provided to set up a priority of the portable cordless telephones, then to call the portable cordless telephones, so as to sequentially answer the portable cordless telephones, according to the priority. CONSTITUTION: A cordless telephone sets up a priority call mode. If a ring is detected, the cordless telephone transmits a call signal to the first priority portable cordless telephone. If a call response is not transmitted from the first priority portable cordless telephone within set time, the cordless telephone transmits the call signal to a next priority portable cordless telephone. If the next priority portable cordless telephone does not exist, the cordless telephone retransmits the call signal to the first priority portable cordless telephone.
