PURPOSE: A resonator is provided to reduce resonant noises and problematic frequency of engine by improving structure of a front resonator. CONSTITUTION: A resonator comprises an exhaust noise reduction unit consisting of a resonator housing(60) having first to fourth chambers(76,78,80,82) by first to third baffle plates(70,72,74), an inlet pipeline unit consisting of an inlet pipe(62) arranged to penetrate the first chamber of the resonator housing and placed onto the first baffle plate so as to allow the exhaust gas to flow into the second chamber, a guide pipeline unit consisting of a guide pipe(64) placed onto the second and third baffle plates in such a manner as to discharge to the third and fourth chambers a portion of the exhaust gas introduced by the inlet pipeline unit, a short pipe unit consisting of a short pipe(66) disposed to the first baffle plate so as to discharge a portion of the exhaust gas of the second chamber introduced by the inlet pipeline unit, and an outlet pipeline unit consisting of an outlet pipe(68) having a hole and which penetrates the first to third baffle plates and the fourth chamber so as to discharge the exhaust gas in the first chamber introduced through the short pipe unit and the exhaust gas in the second chamber.
