PURPOSE: A method for controlling a dash port is provided to prevent shock due to acceleration by gradually changing air flow of a dash port during tip-in of an accelerator pedal in a low-speed travel. CONSTITUTION: A dash port control method comprises the steps of: detecting if a vehicle travels at a low speed during tip-in of an accelerator pedal; setting dash port air flow(ISCDPT) as a table value(ISCDPTC) if a vehicle speed is not low and calculating idle motor driving time(ISCTIM); calculating idle motor driving time while gradually increasing the dash port air flow; and changing control of idle motor driving time to a general state if the dash port air flow is over the table value. Therefore, idle air flow is not changed rapidly although the accelerator pedal is tipped in and an acceleration shock is avoided.
