PURPOSE: A method for restarting a device of a remote subsystem in a full electronic exchange, is provided to transmit IPC(Inter Processor Communication) data to an ASS through an IPC path if a system error is generated in a device included in an RASM(Remote Access Switching Module), and to transmit PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data to the device generating the error. CONSTITUTION: An INP(Interconnection Network Processor) of an INS(Interconnection Network Subsystem,20) periodically confirms errors of a device(60) with a state management signal through an IPC(Inter Processor Communication) path(80) and a trunk frame channel(90). An operator inputs restart control IPC(Inter Processor Communication) data using a PMI(Person Machine Interface,10) to an SPCI(Super Performance Control Inter-working,21) through an RS-232C(70). The SPCI(21) transmits the restart control IPC data from the PMI(10) to an MSCI(Message Switch Control Inter-working,31) through the IPC path(80). The MSCI(31) transmits the restart control IPC data to a device controller(37) by control of an ASP(Access Switching Processor,33) and a TP(Telephony Processor,35). The device controller(37) converts the restart control IPC data into PCM(Pulse Code Modulation) data for transmission using the trunk frame channel(90), and converts the PCM data into bit stream data, to transmit the bit stream data to the first RASM(Remote Access Switching Module) interface(39). The first RASM interface(39) transmits the bit steam data to the second RASM interface(41) through the trunk frame channel(90). The second RASM interface(42) transmits the bit stream data to a first reset generator(50). The reset generator(50) converts the bit steam data into restart control data, which are PCM data, and analyzes the restart control data, to supply a restart signal to the device(60) to perform restarting.
