A FITNESS FILTERING METHOD OF VERTICAL FRAM/FIELD IN MPEG-2 VIDEO COLOR SIGNAL

摘要

PURPOSE: A method for filtering adaptively a vertical direction frame/field of an MPEG-2 video chrominance signal is provided to improve the quality of a pictorial image by setting up automatically a filtering mode according to a characteristic of an input image though a user does not know well an MPEG-2 standard. CONSTITUTION: A correlation between lines adjacent to each field is obtained from input images. A correlation between pixels adjacent to lines of frames is obtained from the input images. The correlation between fields are compared with the correlation between frames. An adaptive filtering process is performed in a field mode or in frame units.
