PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a program information data of a DBS(Digital Broadcast Satellite) system is provided to transmit the program information data to a TS(Transport Stream) from a broadcasting station by using an EPG(Electronic Program Guide), and to transmit corresponding information to an RSMS(Resource Subscriber Management System). CONSTITUTION: A system attempts a call connection in order to transmit a program information data related information to an RSMS(Resource Subscriber Management System). The system transmits the program information data related information to the RSMS. If a transmitting operation is completed, the system shorts the call. The system transmits a program information data PID(Program Information Data) and a receiver ID corresponding to the program information data information to a receiver. If the call is short, the receiver sets a pre-PID to the current PID in a moving image mode before an EPG mode. The system decides whether the program information data PID and the receiver ID is the information requested through the receiver. The system sets the transmitted program information data PID, and displays the program information data.
