PURPOSE: A method of switching telephone connection is provided to switch a telephone line to a telephone connection when called up during communicating through the telephone line using a MODEM. CONSTITUTION: In a method of switching telephone connection, if a standby signal is inputted to a user's MODEM through a telephone line, the standby signal is detected(200). The detected signal is displayed so as for the user to recognize the standby signal(210). The user selects either one of a communication and a telephone. When the user selects the communication via the telephone line, a communication connection state is maintained(230). When the user selects the telephone, the telephone line is switched into a telephone(240).
