PURPOSE: An automobile hood secondary latch is provided to simplify the connection parts and the required parts for preventing the malfunction and reducing the assembling manpower and the manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: An automobile hood secondary latch(100) includes a lever(30) having a "U"-shaped coupling part(32) formed with pin insertion holes(32a) at both side surfaces to be mounted to fixing brackets(40) by pins, a lever part(34) extended from a side of the coupling part downwardly and formed with a handle(34a) at a free end, and a holding part(36) extended from the other side of the coupling part and formed with a holding hook(36a) at a free end, wherein the hood secondary latch rotates in a vehicle width direction by the manipulation of the lever and returns to an initial position by an elastic element, so that the hood released from the restraining state by the operation of a hood release lever is fixed to or released from a vehicle panel secondarily.
