摘要 PURPOSE: To manufacture an oriented magnetic steel sheet having superior magnetic properties and less edge crack, the sulfur content of steel sheet is controlled to be 0.007-0.020wt.% and a sulfur compound is added to MgO before final annealing, thereby the amount of trimmed edge crack is reduced. CONSTITUTION: In the process for manufacturing oriented magnetic steel sheet of which raw material comprises 0.03-0.10wt.% of C, 2.0-4.0wt.% of Si, 0.03-0.10wt.% of Mn, 0.005-0.015wt.% of N, 0.01-0.05wt.% of Sol-Al, 0.007-0.020wt.% of S, the balance of Fe, and inevitably impurities, AlN and MnS are used as inhibitor in the steelmaking step. Especially, MgO layer comprising at least one selected from ZnS, FeS, MgSO4, and Sb2(SO4)3 is deposited on the magnetic steel sheet for reinforcing strength of above inhibitor prior to final annealing that is conducted under H2S gas atmosphere.
