Subscriber turnaround time in a subscriber terminal which forms part of a time division duplex network can be reduced by providing a bi-directional signal path, or alternatively a separate transmit and receive signal path, within the subscriber terminal modem. This will allow received demodulated data to be processed 84 concurrently with data 86 to be subsequently sent, thus reducing the baseband processing delay. |
