PURPOSE: An observation system is provided to be capable of recognizing a situation such as invasion or steal at an observed region in a pilotless state, using an ultraviolet ray signal or a sound signal. CONSTITUTION: An observation system comprises a record and control device(30) which consists of a frame(29), a record device(M), a power terminal(21), a timer terminal(22), a play terminal(23), a memory terminal(24) and a speaker(25). The record device(M) stores and deletes a still picture taken by a camera, and consists of a memory, a counter and a comparator. The speaker(25) outputs an alarm sound stored in the record device(M). The power terminal(21) switches on and off a power supply. The timer terminal(22) sets and releases reference time stored in the record device(M). The play terminal(23) either displays or does not display the still picture stored in the record device(M). The memory terminal(24) selects whether the still picture is stored in the record device(M) or whether the still picture stored in the record device(M) is deleted.
