PURPOSE: A flash memory device is provided to make it easy extending a storage capacity irrespective of a limited card space by adding an extendable flash memory to a main flash memory. CONSTITUTION: A flash memory device comprises a main flash memory module(100) and an extendable flash memory module(200). The main flash memory module(100) includes a connection port(101), one more flash memory chips(105), a controller(103) and an extendable connection port(107). The connection port(101) connects the main flash memory module(100) to a host(10). The flash memory chips(105), having a storage for storing information on the flash memory chip, is controlled by the host(10). The extendable flash memory module(200) includes a connection port(201), connected to the extendable connection port(107), and one more flash memory chip(205) controlled by the controller(103) of the main flash memory module(100).
