METHOD OF REMOVING HYDROGEN SULPHIDE FROM MIXTURE GAS

PURPOSE: Disclosed is a removal method of H2S from mixed gas containing H2S and hydrocarbon. CONSTITUTION: The method for H2S removal is composed of an oxidation step of hydrocarbon and H2S in the reactor (1) for oxidation reaction and a reduction step of H2S in the catalytic reduction reaction (5) and the Clause process (7). The system makes use of heat of reaction from the oxidation reaction (1) and the endothermic reaction of un-reacted gas by the catalyst. The reaction (1) for oxidation reaction is operated at 1000 - 1300 deg. C and combustion ratio of mixed gas to oxygen is 1 to 1 - 1.2. The reactor (4) for reduction reaction is operated at 300 - 400 deg. C over Co-Mo/Al2O3 catalyst.
