PURPOSE: A method for combining a panel and a funnel of a cathode ray tube and a cathode ray tube thereof are provided to combine a panel with a funnel by using a bonding tape. CONSTITUTION: A panel(1) is combined with a funnel(3) by using a water glass(5). A bulb is formed by combining the panel(1) with the funnel(3). An outer portion of the bulb is bent by a bonding tape(7) including a polyimide resin. An unevenness portion is formed on a surface of a junction portion of the panel(1) and the funnel(3). The water glass(5) is selected from a group formed with a sodium silicate and a potassium silicate. At this time, a weight ratio of the sodium silicate and the potassium silicate is 1 to 1.
