PURPOSE: A power transmission device for saving a thermal transfer ribbon is provided to reduce the waste of a thermal transfer ribbon by limiting a transferring process of the thermal transfer ribbon. CONSTITUTION: A driving motor(10) is fixed to a lower frame. A driving gear(11) is installed at a rotary shaft. A driving gear portion(12-14) is combined with the driving gear(11). A sun gear(21) is combined with the driving gear portion(12-14). A planetary gear(22) is combined with the sun gear(21). A bracket(23) is combined with the sun gear(21) and the planetary gear(22). A swing gear(20) is formed with the sun gear(21), the planetary gear(22), and the bracket(23). A paper supply gear portion(40-42) transmits power to a TPH(Thermal Print Head) gear(43), a badge gear(45), and a winding gear(47). A back feeding portion(60) transmits the power to the wiring gear(45). A control portion controls the driving motor(10) and the back feeding portion(60).
