PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily control pressure in a rice cooking jar corresponding to a cooking menu or the like. SOLUTION: This pressure control device has a valve hole 12 provided on the way of an exhaust passage 8 communicating with the interior of a pan 2. The valve hole 12 is made open/closed by a valve element 15 connected to an electromagnetic solenoid 13 and a current input to the electromagnetic solenoid 13 is controlled to produce a change in thrust of the valve element 15 on the slave hole 12 and thus a change in pressure in the pan.
