PURPOSE: A monitoring system is provided to reduce system costs by not using a high-priced capture board and a high-priced converter multiplexer, and also to extend monitoring regions by switching the USB cameras. CONSTITUTION: Several universal serial bus(USB) cameras(C11-C14) equipped on targeted monitoring regions photograph images. A multiplexer(MUX11) connects the USB cameras by two, and sequentially switches the cameras to start bands of back end USB cameras in 4Mbps of front end USB camera bands(8Mbps). A USB computer(USB-PC11) sequentially displays image signals of the USB cameras.
