PURPOSE: A degaussing circuit for a television using DC voltage is provided to operate with low voltage, thereby minimizing electric shock and emergency accidents caused by high voltage. CONSTITUTION: The degaussing circuit for a television using a DC voltage includes a signal generating unit(11), a DC voltage supplier(16), a signal dividing unit(12), a level shifting unit(13), a degaussing coil(L), a degaussing current input unit(15) and a first switching unit(13). The signal generating unit generates a DC voltage signal and a square-wave signal. The DC voltage supplier generates a DC voltage. The signal dividing unit generates a first square-wave signal and a second square-wave signal mutually inverted in phase by inverting in phase the square-wave signal. The level shifting unit shifts in level the DC voltage into an AC voltage type by connecting and disconnecting the DC voltage in response to the first and second square-wave signals. The degaussing coil operates by receiving an AC current signal. The degaussing current input unit generates the current signal during charging the DC voltage. The switching unit includes a first switch element(Q1) and a second switch element(Q3) and supplies the AC current signal for the degaussing coil. The first switch element supplies the current signal for the degaussing coil in response to the first square-wave signal. The second switch element supplies the current signal for the degaussing coil in response to the second square-wave signal.
