PURPOSE: A tuning device of a shock absorber is provided to vary a diameter of an oil passage and a hole scale of a disc for low and middle speed, through only rotation of a piston rod without disassembly of a shock absorber from a vehicle, so tuning work is simplified. CONSTITUTION: A sub-motor(2) is mounted in a cylinder to be movable up and down and connected with a piston rod(1) in order to rotate the piston rod. A piston head(3) is inserted into the sub-motor and forms several oil passages(3a). A cam(4) is formed with a part of the piston rod, which inserted into the piston head, as one body. Several storage holes are connected with the oil passages. A valve plate(5) is contained in the storage hole and opens and shuts the oil passage. Two disc(6,7) are different for a diameter and forms several holes in the circumference, being positioned in the upper of the piston head. Elliptic hole(6a,7a) are formed for the piston rod to penetrate the disc. Projections(6b,7b), which are formed in the reverse side of the disc hole, are moved horizontally for each disc to cross paths in the motion of the piston rod.
