PURPOSE: A retarder device when air pressure in an air tank is low is provided to operate a retarder if a driver operates a brake pedal when an alarm device for air pressure of an air tank is out of order. CONSTITUTION: A low pressure sensing switch(60) is connected by a relay(RY2), an alarm buzzer(50), and a ground, and is switched-on when the air pressure of an air tank is lower than the standard value. An alarm buzzer(50) is connected with a battery(10) and an excited coil of the relay, and alarms when the low pressure sensing switch is switched on. A relay device has a relay(RY1) connected with the battery and the relay(RY2). An electromagnet retarder(30) is operated by the operation of the relay(RY1). A brake switch(40) is connected between the relay(RY1) and the electromagnet retarder, and controls the operation of the electromagnet retarder.
