PURPOSE: A panel of a cathode ray tube is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost by installing directly a shadow mask on a funnel face of a cathode ray tube without an additional doming compensation device. CONSTITUTION: A panel(102) of a cathode ray tube is composed of a valid face portion(104), a fixing pin(105), and a plane portion(106). A curved face with a predetermined curvature is formed to a long side direction of the panel(102). A multitude of fixing pin(105) is installed and fixed at both end portions of a short side of the curved face according to a constant interval. A shadow mask is fixed to the valid face portion(104) by the fixing pin(105). The plane portion(106) is formed over the valid face portion(104).
