PURPOSE: A method for processing calls between mutually different kinds of networks in a high-capacity communication processing system, is provided to enable every information user included in a subscriber network to connect with every IP(Information Provider) included in an IP network for services, and to use logical numbers allocated by the switching module when every network interface module connects with another network interface module, so that each network interface module can uniformly manage various kinds of call connection using the logical numbers. CONSTITUTION: Each network interface unit configures a communication path state table. Call setup is requested to an SASS(Subscriber Access Sub System) by a call connection request of a user. The SASS requests the allocation of logical channel numbers to an HSSF(High-Speed Switching Fabric), to transmit the call connection request to an IASS(Information Provider Access Sub System) and operate a timer for a call connection request process. If the IASS receives a call setup request through the HSSF, a response process for each call connection request is performed according to the end of the timer, and data transmission is performed between the user and the IASS. If data transmission between the user and the IASS is completed or the connection setup is failed, the SASS and the IASS transmits a call connection release request for releasing logical numbers using the HSSF and operates the timer, to perform each call connection release process according to the end of the timer. |
