PURPOSE: An apparatus for monitoring an electronic control module is provided to implement a normal operation of a program algorithm in a RAM memory by connecting an external PC and an electronic control module through a serial communication interface, change and correct a data of a program algorithm in a RAM memory through a PC, obtain a stable operation based on the corrected algorithm varied based on the operation and decrease a program development time based on the changed and corrected dynamic program algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A dual port RAM(20) accesses a data designated through a 12-bit address bus(A0¯A11) in a RAM memory region of an ECU(10) at a certain time interval and transfers a data loaded in the memory address designated through the 12-bit address bus(A0¯A11) from the main board(40) through the 8-bit data bus(D0¯D7) at a certain time interval. A decoder decodes an address in which the data is loaded in the dual port RAM(20) and informs to the dual port RAM(20). A main board(40) transmits a data loaded from the dual port RAM(20) through the 8-bit data buses(D0¯D7) to a serial communication interface unit(50) based on a certain protocol at a rate of 9600bps. The ECU(10) loads the data of the RAM memory region into a certain memory region of the dual port RAM(20) through the 8-bit data bus(D0¯D7).
