A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for a disklike recording medium such as an optical disk includes a housing unit, a recording and/or reproducing unit, an ejection operating mechanism, a loading mechanism, and a position mechanism. The housing unit has annularly-arranged support sections for supporting the outer peripheries of disklike recording media and an opening portion at the support sections. The recording and/or reproducing unit is used for conduct record and/or reproduction of a disklike recording medium. The ejection operating mechanism enters through the opening portion of the housing unit and ejects a desired disklike recording medium out of the disklike recording media from the support section. The loading mechanism takes out the ejected desired disklike recording medium from the housing unit and loads it in the recording and/or reproducing unit. The positioning mechanism rotates the housing unit so that the desired disklike recording medium may face to the loading mechanism.
