The invention relates to a device for fixing any type of object on ceilings and walls, comprising a locating element (1) which can be directly assigned to the ceiling or wall and a fixing unit (2) designed to hold the objects, wherein said fixing unit (2) comprises an engaging part (3) that engages in the locating element (1), a mounting part (4) serving as a buttress for mounting in the locating element (1) and at least one connecting means (5) assigned to the mounting part (4) for a connecting element (6), wherein the fixing unit (2) is fixed by rotating the engaging part (3) relative to the mounting part (4) in the locating element (1) and by the resulting engagement of both shoulders (7) of the locating element (1). In order to realize a device which is easy to use and produce, the engaging part (3) is connected to the locating part (4) by elastic means (8). The elastic means (8) serve to reset the rotational movement between the mounting part (4) and the engaging part (3) in order to move the engaging part (3) to the engaging position during rotation of the locating part (4) and to hold it in said position.
