Gasifier comprises a cylindrical conically tapering filling shaft (1) with a pyrolysis section (3), a cylindrical oxidation section (4) connected to the filling shaft, a reduction section (5) and an air feed pipe (6). The reduction section is connected to the oxidation section and the air feed pipe extends through the filling shaft and the oxidation section up to the reduction section and is provided with an annular nozzle (7) that is directed into the oxidation section. An Independent claim is also included for an air feed pipe for a gasifier. Preferred Features: The air feed pipe can be rotated and can be adjusted in the axial direction. The reduction section is formed by a reduction cylinder that is surrounded by an annular chamber (10) for the removal of waste gas.
