METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ACID-RESISTANT, ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE BUILDING MATERIAL COVERING

In order to produce a building material covering, plates which are covered with a conductive laying material are mounted onto a mechanically stable backing material. A contact is made between the conductive laying material and a conductive junction. The resulting joints are filled with a pasty or liquid pointing substance in a substantially planar manner and said joints subsequently harden independently. The pointing substance consists of an alkali-silicate binding-agent component and a powder component which are mixed in the presence of water. The building material covering thus has good electrical conductivity, high mechanical resistance (cracking resistance) and good refractory qualities, without the addition of electrically conductive particles. The powder component preferably has an activated silicon dioxide component and an active aluminium oxy component and is devoid of calcium oxide and iron compounds.
