PURPOSE: An automatic length display apparatus of a steel wire is provided to reduce manpower and manufacturing expenses by driving automatically a hydraulic press as the information of the length of a wire for forming a V-shaped bending part. CONSTITUTION: An automatic length display apparatus of a steel wire comprises : a counter(11) to indicate the length of a wire(5) on a display(11a) ; a main frame(12) to be equipped on a transfer route of a wire of between a withdraw drum(6) and a reel (7) ; a guide rail(14) to be equipped on the upper side of a main frame(12) and to incline ; a hydraulic press(15) to be driven by the information of indicating value of a counter and to form a length indicator on a wire(5). And a hydraulic press(15) consists : a supporting frame(18) to be moved as a guide rail(14) ; a hydraulic cylinder(19) to be fixed in a supporting frame(18) ; a piston arm(20) to include a V-shaped notch(20a) ; a prop plate(21) to be installed on the lower part of a notch(20a) and to include a V-shaped microgroove(21a) ; two couples of guide rollers(22a)(22b) to be equipped on both sides of a supporting frame(18) and to guide a wire(5) for passing through between a notch(20a) and a prop plate(21).
