METHOD AND APPARATUS OF GENERATING ATC SIGNAL FOR TRAIN

PURPOSE: An ATC signal generating apparatus and a method thereof are provided to prevent signal displacement according to aging of components which can take place in an analog circuit by digitalizing a carrier wave frequency and a code frequency without depending to the hardware when generating velocity signal for automatic driving of an electric train. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor(10) determines a carrier wave frequency on the basis of a velocity code and a carrier wave frequency (or velocity information) externally input, takes a sine wave pattern of the carrier wave from a sine data memory(30) to calculate a sampling frequency considering a frequency range to be output, then outputs it to a data memory(46) of a digital signal synthesizer(40) through a predetermined treatment, and controls the carrier wave signal and the velocity code synthesis of the digital signal synthesizer(40) while carrying out low frequency modulation of the velocity signal. A program memory(30) stores the sine wave pattern of the carrier wave. The digital signal synthesizer(40) digital synthesize and output the carrier wave and the velocity code controlled by the microprocessor(10). A low-pass filter(60) passes those signals under a certain frequency only among the output signals of a digital/analog converter(50).
