The invention relates to agents for coloring fibers containing keratin, containing at least one developer component of formula (I), R<1> and R<2>, independently of each other, representing a C1- to C4-alkyl group and R<3> representing hydrogen, a halogen atom, a C1- to C4-alkyl group, a C1- to C4-alkoxy group or a C1- to C4-hydroxyalkyl group; and at least one coupler component selected from a group made up of 2,4-diaminophenoxythanol, 1,3-bis-(2-4-diaminophenoxy)-propane, 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid, 2,6-bis-(2'-hydroxyethylamino)-1-methylbenzol, 6-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-quinoxaline, 3-amino-2-chloro-6-methylphenol, 3-trifluoroacetylamino-2-chloro-6-methylphenol, 5-amino-4-chloro-2-methylphenol, 2,4-dichloro-3-aminophenol, 2-amino-5-chloro-3-hydroxypyridin, 3,5,-diamino-2,6-dimethoxy-pyridin, 1,5-dihydroxynaphthalin, 1,7-dihydroxynaphthalin, 2,7-dihydroxynaphthalin, 1-phenyl-3-methylpyrazol-5-one, 4-hydroxyindol, 6-hydroxyindol, 5-methylresorcin, 2,5-dimethylresorcin, 2,6-dihydroxy-3,4-diaminopyridine and 2-chlororesorcin. The inventive agents produce colors which are rich in nuances and present excellent light and shampoo-fastness.
