A central locking element is provided comprising a power take-off element (7) having at least one eccentric control pin (8). The element includes a forked receiver (10) for the pin. Part of the arc of rotation (9) of the pin is situated outside the forked receiver. The central locking element has a stop face (12) for the pin on each of its two sides near the receiver. The control movements of the pin are restricted by the pin striking one of the stop faces each time, where an electric motor drive can be switched off by the pin striking the stop faces.
