Enhancement of whiteness, lightness and color of fibrous materials, inorganic fillers, pigments and binders for paper manufacture and finishing uses water-soluble copper phthalocyanine complex as photoactivator

In a process for improving the degree of whiteness, lightness and color position of (a) fibrous materials, (b) inorganic fillers and pigments and (c) binders for paper manufacture and finishing, by adding water-soluble phthalocyanine photoactivator(s) to (a), (b) and/or (c), the activator is a water-soluble copper phthalocyanine complex (I). An Independent claim is also included for mixtures produced in this way from (I) and (a) fibrous materials, (b) inorganic fillers and pigments and (c) binders for paper manufacture and finishing.
