The sealing device has an elastic ring seated round an aperture in the base of a pot-shaped holder via which an armature pinion passes to the gearbox compartment. The ring (14) has a protruding outer lip (15) on its side facing a roller bearing (5) that contacts an outer ring of the bearing in sprung fashion and an inner lip (16) that contacts an inner ring (7) of the roller bearing.
