<p>A file managing system capable of presenting to the user the correlation between an edition information file and a multimedia information file merely by a glance at the file name. The system comprises a recorded medium on which multimedia information files are recorded, an edition request analysis unit (101) for analyzing a multimedia information file to be edited and an edition method thereof when an operation by the user occurs, an edition unit (105) for editing the multimedia information file on the basis of the result of the analysis, an edition information file creation unit (107) for creating an edition information file describing how and what multimedia information file is reproduced as a result of the edition of the multimedia information, and a multimedia information name determination units (102, 103, 104, 106) for naming the multimedia information files and the edition information files constituting the multimedia information of the results of the edition while correcting the names with the multimedia information.</p> |
