On the underneath of the seat is an anchoring device having a curved seat rail (1) fixed on the vehicle structure and extending crosswise to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in a horizontal plane. The rear seat (4) is mounted in two or more sockets (3) to slide along the seat rail. Each one rear seat can have a further socket (5) for fixing on the vehicle, with this socket set in the centre of the swivel movement which the seat executes when sliding along the curved rail.
