The roller bearing has an outer bearing ring (2) with two spaced cut-in sections (9) at its inner diameter. An edge disk (7) of a spring elastic material is snapped into the cut-in sections (9). The edge disks (7) have a U-shape, seen on a longitudinal section. One leg is snapped into the cut-in sections (9), and the other end transits into a leg which moves axially outwards leading to a third leg which covers a ring zone (14) to a fourth leg aligned axially inwards into a fifth leg aligned radially inwards at the opening (15) at the inner bearing ring (1). The first leg is interrupted by equidistant recesses at the periphery, and the third leg has equidistant axial inlets. The second leg has a seal (16) of a material with elastic distortion at the outer periphery, bonded in place. The fourth and fifth legs have a further bonded seal (17), of a material with elastic distortion, which lies against the opening (15) at the inner ring (1) The second seal (17) has two pretensed sealing lips (18,19). The edge disks (7) are given a thermal or thermo-electrical treatment, and are coated with a material of increasing hardness. |
