The present invention relates to a device for the pulsed compression of gases, wherein said device includes a body (1) that comprises a cylindrical chamber (5) which is divided into two cavities (7, 8) by a free piston (6) mounted therein and capable of reciprocating displacement. Air-bleed openings (9, 10) are formed in the side wall of the body (1), while a driving unit is provided in the wall of the body (1). The driving unit consists of a quick-action pulse gas valve (14).
