The invention relates to a process for managing service data in a receiver of a digital television system able to transmit at least two digital streams of multiplexed objects, each stream comprising a list of objects transmitted in the said stream, The said process is characterized in that it comprises the steps: of receiving a first stream, this first stream comprising a list of objects transmitted on a second stream; of extracting the said list of objects from the first stream and of storing the list by the receiver; of receiving the second stream; of retaining in the stored list the set of objects obtained from the first stream, including the objects not present in the list of objects of the second stream relating to the objects of this latter stream; of making available a multiplexing means so as to attempt the demultiplexing of the objects of the stored list. The invention concerns also the receiver suitable for using the process.
