The invented spindleless spinning apparatus has a spinning rotor (1) that is mounted through the mediation of its shaft (11) in supporting disks (4). For supporting axial force acting on the shaft (11) there is performed an aerostatic thrust bearing (6), whereby bearing surface (115) of the shaft (11) consists at least partially of carbide. The two materials, i. e. carbon material for the thrust bearing (6) with the shaft (11) bearing surface (115) of carbide creates and particularly suitable arrangement.
