PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming method, in which the usefulness of a digital image information output printing material and the like is high, not requiring an oxidizing agent such as a silver salt for coloring. SOLUTION: A coloring matter precursor represented by a formula is used and a color image is formed by heating, oxidizing or using acid or the process of combination of them. (In the formula, R1 represents a substituent, (n) represents an integer of f 0-4, R2 represents a hydroxy group or a group represented by -N(R5)R6, R5 and R6 represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent, Q1 and Q2 represent a nitrogen atom, a carbon atom and a non-metal atom group required for forming a nitrogen containing heterocyce condensed ring type coupler residual group together with Y, R3 and R4 represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, Y represents a hydrogen atom or a group represented by -N(R7)R8 bonded on the position of a coupling of a coupler core and R7 and R8 represent a substituent. |
