PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of component parts forming a brake for decelerating moving speed of an ascending/descending cord and to cut costs of a blind. SOLUTION: A brake 32 is slidably supported between a stopper drawing-out location 36 of an ascending/descending cord 18 and a head box drawing-out location 38 of the same, along an axial direction of a rotational shaft 16 rotatably arranged in a head box 14. The brake 32 has a rotational shaft insertion hole formed therein, into which the rotational shaft 16 is inserted, and an insertion hole formed therein, into which the ascending/descending cord 18 is inserted while being in contact therewith. The insertion hole is positioned at a location almost being opposed to the head box drawing-out location 36, whereas it is positioned at a location being not opposed to the stopper drawing- out location 36.
