PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately erect a pile in a predetermined position in a hole excavated by an auger. SOLUTION: In this pile driving device by which a pile whose upper portion is fitted into a pile fixing cap 58 secured to the lower portions of hanging tongs 20 is driven into an auger-excavated hole by lowering the tongs 20 along a leader 1, guide members 70, 44 are provided respectively at the tongs 20 and the leader 16 in such a way as to extend vertically. An engaging member 72 which is vertically movable when fitted over both guide members 70, 44 is provided. The tongs 20 connected to the leader 16 by means of the engaging member 72 are vertically guided by the guide members 70, 44.
