PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a ram beam curved by temperature difference into a straight line automatically without needing labor during the operation of the coke push-out machine by continuously measuring the amount of curving of the ram beam of a coke push-out machine in a coke oven. SOLUTION: During the operation of a coke push-out machine, the wind velocity and wind direction at the side of a ram beam 7, surface temperatures of the ram beam 7 and the amount of curving of the ram beam 7 are continuously determined with a wind velocity/direction meter 10, a thermometer 12 and a distance sensor 11. A controller 16 calculates the air flow needed for correcting the ram beam 7 into a straight line based on these measurements and issues a command to a blower 14 so that the wind of the amount thus determined is blown against the beam 7, and thereby the beam 7 curved by temperature difference is corrected into a straight line.
