PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powder coating compositions capable of forming a coated film composed of a lower layer and a surface layer by one-time coating and having a uniform hue with the use of two or more types of powder coatings, and a coating method using these powder coating compositions. SOLUTION: A powder coating composition contains an opaque powder coating and a transparent powder coating, and a coated film having a uniform hue is formed by allowing the opaque coating to migrate to the lower layer and allowing the transparent coating to migrate to the surface layer on heat melting of the powder coating composition. A coating method comprises applying this powder coating composition to form a coated film having a uniform hue.
