The method involves sending a short laser pulse in the long-wave range into the otic fibre and detecting an intensity, wavelength, and run-time of a reflected Anti-Stokes-Raman line as function of a location on the optic fibre. The wavelength of the Anti-Stokes-Raman line is put in the area of attenuation minimum of the fibre and a maximum detector sensitivity. The otic fibre is used exclusively and/or additionally for a telecommunications transmittion, to detect unauthorised tapping coupler, sensitively and without blind spots. |
