A pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, in particular, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, contains a compound of the general formula (I) in which R1 represents alkyl with 12 to 18 carbon atoms, R2 alkyl with 1 to 8 carbon atoms and R3 H or alkyl with 1 to 3 carbon atoms; use of a compound (I) for the manufacture of such compositions and for treatment of the diseases is also provided.
