<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material, such as sumi, used for calligraphy or painting which is conveniently portable, can be used at once when dissolved in water, easily exhibits a color inherent in a pigment, and is excellent in long-term stability by mixing an organic and/or an inorganic colorant with a water-soluble resin, mixing the mixture with a solvent of the water-soluble resin under stirring, and drying thus obtained mixture to give a powder. SOLUTION: A mixture is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. organic and/or inorganic colorant with 10-50 pts.wt. at least one water-soluble resin selected from among glue, gelatine, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, methylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, casein, gum arabic, and their modifications, The mixture is further mixed with a water-soluble solvent under stirring, and thus obtained mixture is dried by heating to 250 deg.C or lower and then powdered to give a material, such as sumi, for calligraphy or painting which comprises a power 3 or powder coagula 4 having an outer diameter or a circumferential diameter of 10-50μm.</p> |
